Dr. Michelle Thompson was a panel speaker at the World Bank Civil Society Policy Forum on April 11th in Washington, DC.  The objective of the panel was to have an open dialogue about progress made/challenges to achieving Universal Financial Access by 2020, analyze the conditions/relevant data/positive multiplier effect leading to inclusive growth with a particular focus on empowering women and moving the needle on financial inclusion in India, identify international best practices/strategies/the role of CSOs and draw lessons for inclusion in South Asia, examine the role/impact of big data and fintech and provide actionable policy recommendations to build on past and current efforts.
